With a variation of the recently developed new thought on incommensuratephase transitions, a case is investigated where late x and y principal axes of theprototype are equivalent ; as an example the prototype Sp3[CC group is assumedP4/mbm and the unmodulated soft modes are assumed fourfold degenerate withwavevectors (l-]/3, 0, 0) and (0, -41/3,0). In cases like this, several new problemsoccur that have not been met with in the previously studied cases where no twoof the x, y, z axes are equivalent. These problems are solvecl.
