NMR in <NiFe>___-Mn and NiMn Alloys

NMR signals due to Mn atoms with antiparallel moments to the host magnetiza-tion have been observed in NiFeMn and NiMn alloys. In NiFeMn alloys thedependence of the integrated intensities of resonance lines associated with theparallel and antiparallel moments on Fe concentration shows the critical numberof Fe atoms surrounding Mn to reverse the moment of Mn to be 4 -5, which is ingood agreement with the theoretical result. The magnitude of the antiparallelmoment is estimated to be about 1.9 p.. In NiMn alloys there appear three resonance lines due to two parallel and oneantiparallel moments. The concentration dependence of the intensities of thesethree signals is measured and the origin of these signals is discussed.
