A theoretical study is made of the slow motion of a small splnere in an incom-pressible viscous fluid in a wedge-shaped domairn t>ounded by two plane walls.Forces and torques experienced by the sphere which is tfanslating in any directionwithout rotation on and across the bisector of the wedge are calculated up to thefirst-order effect of the boundary on the basis of the Stokes equations.
