The t-J model, which in the case of ./<< t can be derived from the strong couplingHubbard model, is studied in the improved Hubbard Ill approximation. It is foundthat the magnetic properties change from that of localized spin systems to that ofitinerant electron systems. In the half-filled limit, the susceptibility is shown to reduceto the Curie-Weiss form in the mean field approximation on the exchange term of theHamiltonian. It is also found that the antiferromagnetic transition temperaturedecreases very rapidly with slightly hole-doping of the half-filled case. The superconductivity is also examined within a similar approximation. The relation to the oxidehigh T. superconductors is discussed.
