Critical Properties of S=1/2 XXZ Chain

The .S',5' correlation function of S = 1 /2 XXZ chain is numericaly o btained at lowtemperatures by means of the transfer matrix with use of the Trotter approximation.The inplane susceptibility and the correlation length are extrapolated to .N'= oowhere N is the num ber of the Trotter slicings. It is shown that the extrapolation worksquite effectively and makes the estimation of the critical indices v, y and q possible forthe anisotropy parameter -0.75<J<0.5. The obtained values of v, '7 and q satisfythe scaling relation and agree quite well with the analytic expression derived byLuther and Peschel.
