For determining the space group of the intermediate phase (74 K< T< 222 I<) ofhexagonal-type Basic, X-ray oscillation photographs of a 'twin-free' single crystalhave been analyzed. Twins wlaich usually occur below 222 K have been successfullyeliminated by applying a stress on the crystal. The space group is determined asorthorhombic C222.-D:.[hexagonal-type Basic, spacef photograph, twin-free crystalgroup determination,X-ray oscillation
