Dielectric and elastic properties of RbH.(Se0.). and the ferroelec:tric domainstructure have been investigated around the transition point of T.= -117'C. Incontrast to the previous results, no evidence of occurrence of an intermediatephase around T. has been found ; and only one sharp ferroelectriic transitionoccurs at T.. The contrasting result seems to be due to mainly a<lifference oforigins of sample crystals: occasionally as-grown Rbl-f,(Se0.). crystals arenot of homogeneous quality and contain such portions that neither r?svea] a cleardomain structure nor exhibit a well defined ferroelectric D-E hysteresis loop.Such specimens usually show several anomalies in the dielectric and elasticconstants around -117'C. Thus the anomalies are apt to be misirterpreted asrepresenting successive phase transitions. A need of special care irr selecting ahomogeneous specimen is disclosed.
