A Theory of Ferromagnetic Superconductors : An Analysis of Experiments on ErRh_4B_4 and HoMo_6S_8

The coexistence problem of ferromagnetism and superconductivity is discussedtheoretically. Recent experiments on the rare earth ternary compounds ErRh.B3and HoMo.S. are analyzed on the basis of the sf exchange interaction model.It is shown that the ferromagnetic molecular field effect of the sf exchange in-teraction is crucial in explaining the data and the spatially inhonaogenous super-conducting state coexisting with ferromagnetism can describe adequately variousaspects of the sinusoidally modulate magnetic structure observed in both corn-pounds.
