A Theory of the Electron Correlation in Disordered Alloys

The electron correlation in disordered alloys is discussed in the Hubbardmodel. A single band rnodel is assumed, and the Z-approximation and the coherentpotential approximation are used. It is shown that intra-atomic Coulomb inter-actions are screened by the effect of electron correlation and effective intra.-atomicCou1om.b interactions at atomic sites are introduced. As an example their numer-ical estimation is carried out for Pd -Rh alloys. The effective intra-atomic Coulombinteractions are found to be considerably dependent on the concentration ofalloys. By taking into account the electron correlation a generalized transversespin susceptibility for disordered alloys is also calculated.
