By considering a model in which the hadronic matter is composed of quarks and self-interacting scalar particles and is confined inside the bag, we study the mechanical stability of the hadronic matter which is deduced from the equilibrium of pressure on the surface of the bag. We also show that when the bag stretches linearly a constant force acts on both ends of the bag from the outside.
