Assuming the quark-gluon plasma formation in high energy pp(pp^^-) collisions, the temperature of the plasma is calculated on the basis of the statistical quark bag model. The temperature is shown to agree well with the effective temperature estimated from the medium p_t data at ISR and SPS energies.
