A mnodified type of nonlinear Schr6dinger (NS) equation of the forna l"t('>t)A-"xx(X>')f(" )YQ(X(Xv t)l"(">Z)l"f"('>')(IIIX('>')l").x.x] It-rot(x,t)ct? j dZ'sin a(Z'-Z)[()?a(,v,f')?"-f7?(?a(,r,Z')?")..]=0JOlwhich describes the coherent propagation of Frenkel type excitons in one-dimensional lattice is derived and numerically solved with pure NS soliton initialconditions. Symbols a, co and r represent respectively coherent amplitude ofexcitons, optical phonon frequency and the ratio of phonon-induced nonlinearityto total nonlinearity. In the limit 7?-+0 and co-+cc, this equation becomes thepure NS equation. For 7?>P solitons damp or become unstable which corre-sponds physically either large exciton-exciton interaction or large exciton-phononinteraction or sufficiently high temperature. Finite co causes slowing down ofsoliton velocity. Pulsation of bound solitons tends to decrease. Bound solitonsare more stable than one soliton.
