The reactjotts "Car, t)"C and "Car, 'He)"B have bee?t studied at 51.9-MeVincident enc:rg,y. Obtained angular distributions have been analyzed in terms ofzero-range ])AVBA theory. Several J' and T assigrmtents are cot'nfiruned. In addi-tion, the 5.28-MeV and 6.60-MeV states in "C have been assigned to be 2" statescorrespondinr, to the 7.50-MeV and 8.90-MeV states in "B, resrcectivelv, and the5.55-MCV state in "c to be o". The relative spectroscopic strengths ror thetransfer reactions are comrared with rredictions from Cohen. and Kurath wavefunctiorts. I'h<: ratios of strensths of (P, t) ?tnd (r, 'He) transitions to final analoxstates are discussed. NIJ(CLEAR REACTIONS "C(p,t) and "Cap,'Hem, E.= 5].9 MeV; measured o(0), "C, "B deduced levels, J, n, T, isceb;tric analogs. Natural target.
