Lifetime Measurements of Excited States in ^<62>Ni

Gamma rays from the "Co(z, p7)"Ni reaction were observed in coincidencewith protons at f.=8 MeV. Lifetimes of excited states in "Ni were determinedby the Doppler-shift attenuation method. The Z?([2) values obtained for the 27and 2$ states are in good agreement with the shell-model calculations withe.jj=1.7, while #(E2,47 +27) is much larger and B(E2, 4fe2,") much smallerthan the shell model values. Decay scheme of the states in "Ni up to 4.16 MeVare also discussed.NUC[,EAR REACTIONS "Coma, p7)"Ni, E=8 MeV; measured py-coin., Doppler-shift attenuation. "Ni levels deduced T?7z, 7-branchingratios.
