Gamma-ray angular distribtutions, y-)t coincidences and Doppler-shift attenua-tions have been measured ira the "Ti(x, n7)"Cr and "Ct-(x, n7)"Fe reactions.Linear polarization of y rays from the "Ti(a, n7)"Cr reaction and excitationfunctions and angular distributions of y rays from the " V(p, ny)" Cr reacti onhave also been naeasured. Present data have establishec-l tznambiguously thepresence of a series of levels in"Cr and"Fe, which arc most naturally interpretedas the members of K'=1/2 bands. They are 172 , 372-, 572 , 7/2 , 9/2 and11,/2 levels at 777, 749, 1353, 1557, 2379 and 2=/05 keV in "Cr, and 172 , 3/2 ,572 and 7/2 levels at 774,740,1421 and l695keV in"Fe.Lifetin?es,branchingratios and mixing ratios of the trarnsitions fron? these levels have been measured.Obtained reduced transition probabilities indicate that the K'=172 bands in"Cr and "Fe arc more deformed than the yrast levels. It has been shown thatthere are many previously unresolved y rays in " Cr and the decay scheme of "Crlevels has to be consideuably modified.NUCLEAR REACTIONS "Ti(a,n7)"Cr, "Cr(a,n7)"Fe, f=8.08MeV; measured o(E, 0,), 77-coin., )t linear polarization, Doppler-shiftattenuation. "V(p,n7)"Cr, .E=3.95?-4.65 MeV; measured o(E,II,0,)."Cr, "Fe levels deduced J", T.7., branching ratios, mixing ratios, fl(E2),7l?(Ml).
