Numerical Studies of Light Scattering Spectra Depending on the Direction of Scattering Wave Vector in KD_2PO_4 : Effects of Electrostatic and Elastic Long Range Forces

It has been reported that the line shape of the broad central component observedin lisht scatterins sr>ectra in KD2P04 der>ends UPOII the direction of scatterinswave vector t near the transition temrerature. The srectra in this system havebeen shown to be well described as those of a polarization relaxation mode-acoustic phonon coupled system with two special directions of q. By substitutingexperimental data for the parameters in this system, the temperature and q de-pendences of the spectra are numerically computed. The observed q dependenceis well simulated by taking into account the anisotropic polarization fluctuationsdue to an electrostatic dipole-dipole interaction and an elastic long range force.
