概要

Ultrastructural changes induced by water stress were investigated in broad bean (Vicia faba) and barley (Hordeum vulgare) root cells by electron microscopy. Stress grain formation and subsequent heterophagy as previously observed in slowly-desiccated corn root cells was also observed in the cortex cells of both desiccated plants.
