When fluids are stirred in gravity, we predict establishment of a temperature gradient downwards in the vertical direction. It can be of vital importance for critical-point experiments. Second, we consider the critical behavior of the specific heats in stirred fluids. Third, some discussions are made on dynamic light scattering from turbulent binary mixtures on the basis of a recent experiment. A new formula is given for the homodyne intensity from concentration fluctuations convected by turbulence. Fourth, we show how the nucleation process is fundamentally influenced by stirring. A recent experiment indicates that flow fields can accelerate the birth of critical droplets, triggering nucleation at even small supersaturation on one side and can rupture critical droplets, leading to complete suppression of nucleation on the other side. A theoretical model is proposed to explain such behavior.
