Improved approximate formulas are derived for calculating hindered nuclear matrix elements, which are slightly different form the formulas obtained in a series of previous papers by one of the authors (J.F.) and Takigawa. New formulas contain the quantities representing the nuclear core polarization which are less sensitive to the individuality of valence states. Numerical results are shown for RaE beta decay.
