Composition Dependence of the Superconductivity in (Ba, Sr)(Pb, Bi)O_3

The effect of Sr substitution for Ba on the superconducting transition temperature T_c of Ba Pb_<1-x>Bi_xO_3 ceramics has been investigated for series of various Pb/Bi ratio. At the semiconducting region (x=0.32), the shift of T_c is proportional to the added Sr-content. At the metallic region (x=0.20), there is a peak in the T_c vs Sr-composition diagram. The result is discussed in comparison with the pressure effect of the superconductivity of this compound reported previously.
