With the aim of establishing a simple composite model in which the fundamental particles have integral charges and baryon numbers, a model which is the complex conjugate of the Sakata model is examined. The 1/2^+ baryons belong to a 15 dimensional representation in this model. However, the extra baryons A(Y=-2, I=1) and C(Y=-1, I=3/2) are shown to have masses higher than those of the eight known baryons. Properties of baryons in the 15 dimensional representation-electromagnetic form factors and weak currents-are also discussed and presented in detail in comparison with those of the eightfold way and shown to be not inconsistent with the experimental data. A new sum rule for the S-wave amplitudes of the non-leptonic weak decay of hyperons is obtained and shown to be consistent with the experimental data.
