Stability problems are studied on an annular long viscous cylinder inside and outside viscous fluids, where the tensional forces at the coaxial interfaces may lead a rest state of the fluids to temporal capillary instability. The analysis for fully viscous fluids includes the ones for inviscid fluids as one limiting case and for highly viscous fluids as the other limiting case, in which the temporal growth rate is obtained numerically as implicit form solutions to the dispersion relation. The growth rate for highly viscous fluids is given as explicit form of solutions to the dispersion relation. Viscous potential flow analysis can be applied to the cases of the inviscid and viscous flows, in which the dispersion relation gives the temporal growth rate as explicit form of solutions to some algebraic equations. These methods of analysis for axisymmetric disturbances are compared one another based upn the data of various kinds of annular fluids.
