During recent years groundwater contamination due to artificially composite chemicals has become a serious threat to geoenvironment conservation. Among the most widespread and hazardas contaminants are organic choloride liquids which have been widely used in various industrial activities. In an effort to evaluate the efficiency of decontamination for polluted groundwater, the analysis of arrival distribution was performed by using the contaminant transport equation in which the dispersive term is neglected. It was shown that the most effective plan in decontamination is achieved by distributing wells so that the line of equal travel time encloses the contaminated zone as narrow as possible.
