Propagation Characteristics of Substrate for Lamb-Wave-Type Elastic Wave Devices

In this study, we examine the temperature characteristics of a Lamb wave propagated on a thin quartz crystal substrate. We have found three new cuts where the frequency barely changes with temperature. The steady frequency–temperature characteristics show a cubic curve. The analytical and experimental results for the temperature characteristics of a Lamb wave propagated on new cuts are compared and discussed in this study. The agreement between the analytical and experimental results shows that the analytical results of this study are reliable.
