Microwave Dielectric Properties of ($1-x$)Nd(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3–$x$SrTiO3 Ceramics with Near Zero Temperature Coefficient of Resonant Frequency

The microwave dielectric properties of ($1-x$)Nd(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3–$x$SrTiO3 have been investigated. The system has been prepared by a conventional solid state ceramic method. Nd(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 (NCT) possesses a dielectric constant ($\varepsilon_{\text{r}}$) of 27, a high quality factor ($Q\times f$) of 140,000, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency ($\tau_{\text{f}}$) of $-46$ ppm/°C. To produce a temperature-stable material, SrTiO3 (ST) has been added, which leads to a near-zero temperature variation in resonant frequency. The microwave $Q\times f$ decreases as $x$ increases. $\varepsilon_{\text{r}}$ increases from 27 to 29.32 as $x$ varies from 0 to 0.1. A microwave dielectric material having $\varepsilon_{\text{r}}$ of 29.32, $Q\times f$ of 80900, and $\tau_{\text{f}}$ of 0 has been obtained from the compound 0.9NCT–0.1ST sintered at 1440 °C for 4 h.
