We assessed the clinical usefulness of ketoprofen (150 mg/day) comparing with aspirin (3 g/day) by a double blind controlled study. The anti-inflammatory effect of 150 mg/day of ketoprofen is equivalent to 3 g/day of aspirin which is a high dose for the average Japanese. Side effects of ketoprofen, however, are much less than those of aspirin as for the degree and frequency.<BR>We confirmed the clinical usefulness of ketoprofen as an anti-inflammatory agent.
