The concentration dependence of the 13C spin-lattice relaxation times (<I>T</I>1) of the alkyl carbons in octyltrimethylammonium salts was analyzed by means of applying the phase separation model. At higher concentration, the 1/<I>T</I>1 value deviates from a linear plot and depends on the magnetic field strength. The molecular motions in monomer and micellar states are discussed, along with the overall motions of the molecule and its internal motion.
