<SUP>14</SUP>N spin–lattice and spin–spin relaxation times were measured in a series of alkyltrimethylammonium salts at higher concentrations above the critical micell concentration. Octyltrimethylammonium bromide and dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride form spherical micelles at all concentrations, while decyl- and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromides form larger and rodlike micelles such as the hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide suggested previously.
