Variable Temperature <SUP>13</SUP>C MAS and <SUP>59</SUP>Co NMR data on solid Co<SUB>4</SUB>(CO)<SUB>12</SUB> show that there is a symmetry conserved reorientation of the CO<SUB>4</SUB>-tetrahedron which is more restricted than has been reported previously whereas the room temperature <SUP>13</SUP>C MASNMR spectra of Rh<SUB>4</SUB>(CO)<SUB>12</SUB> and (NMe<SUB>3</SUB>Bz)<SUB>2</SUB>[Rh<SUB>6</SUB>(CO)<SUB>15</SUB>C] are consistent with their solid state static structure.
