Fluorine-19 spin-lattice relaxation time of crystalline KzSbF5 was measuredat 10.0 and 26.6 MHz between 77 and 397 K. Angular dependenc:e of T. wasalso examined using a single crystal at 298 K. Magnetic dipolar rc:Taxation dueto axial reorientation of the square pyramidal ion SbF: was observ<:d, its activa-tion energy being 30 kJ mol -". A theoretical expression of Tg due to reorientationof a square pyranaidal ion is derived, which is described as a sup?erposition ofthe two BPP functions with different time constants, r. and 27.. Low temperaturerelaxation behavior was explained in terms of spin diffusion to j>aramagneticimpurities.
