• Some new binuclear and trinuclear complexes containing μ-aminocarboxylato ligands, [(NH<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>5</SUB>Co(OCORNH<SUB>2</SUB>)Co NO<SUB>2</SUB>(acac)<SUB>2</SUB>](ClO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB> (R=CH<SUB>2</SUB>, (CH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>, and CH(CH<SUB>3</SUB>) for glycinato, β- and DL-alaninato ligands) and [en<SUB>2</SUB>Co{(OCORNH<SUB>2</SUB>)Co NO<SUB>2</SUB>(acac)<SUB>2</SUB>}<SUB>2</SUB>]ClO<SUB>4</SUB> (R=CH<SUB>2</SUB> and (CH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>), have been prepared and characterized on the basis of their elemental analyses, visible and ultraviolet absorption, infrared, and PMR spectra. It was concluded that the NH<SUB>2</SUB> end of the μ-aminocarboxylato bridge occupies a coordination position <I>trans</I> to the NO<SUB>2</SUB>ligand, and the COO ends of two μ-aminocarboxylato bridges in the trinuclear complex occupy positions <I>trans</I> to each other.
