• The crystal of bis(2-chlorobenzoato)zinc(II) is monoclinic, space group P2<SUB>1</SUB>/c, <I>a</I>=7.284, <I>b</I>=10.480, <I>c</I>=19.091 Å, β=95.59°, and Z=4. The structure was solved by usual heavy atom method and refined to the final <I>R</I>-value of 0.052. In the crystalline state, the complex forms a chain. Each zinc atom is bonded to four oxygen atoms from four different ligands.
