Clinical Evaluation of Hightibial Osteotomy for Idioathic Osteonecrosis of Femoral Medial Condyle.

• We operated on 2 joints for stage III idiopathic osteonecrosis of femoral condyle and on 3 joints for stage IV during 7 years from 1984.Now we compared their post-operative clinical signs, femorotibial angles and roentgenographical changes of necrosed tissue with pre-operative ones. Results were as follows.The mean femoro-tibial angle improved after high-tibial osteotomy from 161° to 167°.Mean JOA score also improved remarkably from 56 to 94.The necrosed tissues were healing in all cases, especially in 2 joints of stage III which had high-tibial osteotomy with drilling but one healed perfectly.
