A new alkaloid (dehydrothalicsimidine) was isolated from Thalictrum inchengense along with 1, 2, 9, 10-tetramethoxydehydroaporphine (dehydroglaucine), 1, 2, 3, 9, 10-pentamethoxyaporphine (thalicsimidine), 1, 2, 9, 10-tetramethoxyaporphine (glaucine) and 1-hydroxy-2, 9, 10-trimethoxyaporphine (thaliporphine). The structure of dehydrothalicsimidine was determined to be 1, 2, 3, 9, 10-pentamethoxydehydroaporphine by spectroscopic analysis.
