Influence of the Linkage Transfer Position on the Interruption Performance of MCCB

Linkage transfer phenomenon, which exists in the opening process of the operating mechanism of MCCB, is introduced. Influence of the linkage transfer position on the interruption process of MCCB is analyzed with a multi-field coupled calculation model. The model describes coupling of the complex mechanical movement, the electric circuit, the magnetic field and the mathematic arc model existing in the interruption process of MCCB. With this model, the impact of the linkage transfer position on the interruption performance of MCCB is studied. Calculation and experiment results show that well designed linkage transfer position is helpful for enhancing the interruption performance of MCCB.
