『〓血』は漢方において重要な病態の一つである。本研究室では,これまでに卵白リゾチーム感作マウスの末梢血流量低下を指標としたアレルギー予防物質探索のためのアッセイ法を開発している。このアッセイ法における指標である末梢血流量低下の症状は,〓血症状と類似している。そこで今回著者らは,本アッセイ法が〓血の評価法として利用可能であるかを確かめるため,駆〓血方剤として臨床応用される代表的な漢方処方および駆〓血生薬を評価した。その結果,一般的に駆〓血方剤として用いられる代表的な漢方処方である,加味逍遙散,桃核承気湯,当帰芍薬散および桂枝茯苓丸には顕著な作用が見られたが,慢性肝炎における肝機能障害の改善等に用いられる小柴胡湯には顕著な作用は見られなかった。また生薬では,駆〓血生薬として知られる牡丹皮,桃仁,当帰および芍薬は,血流量低下を改善したことから,このアッセイ法は駆〓血薬の新しい一次スクリーニングとして応用できることを示した。
