The left supra-renalglands of twelve healthy adult male rabbits of nearly the same weight were extirpated. To decrease the secretion of another gland a part of nervous splanchnics was cut instead of the extirpation of the right side. The solutions used in this examination were just the same as in Part II. 1) The rate of swelling of the skin was the highest before the operation, middle three weeks after it and the lowest six weeks after the oparation. 2) The promotive effect on the swelling of various kinds and various concentrations, did not seem to be much influenced by the operation, nor the activity of the hydrogen ions. 3) The curves of swelling of the skin seemed to agreed mostly with types No. II and No. (II III). The curves obtained with the muriatic alkali metal, muriatic alkali earth metal, kalium salts solutions and buffer solutions, agreed with one of these two. The No. I type was obtained with distilled water, and the No. IV' type with grape suger solution. The curves of swelling seemed to depend upon the sorts of solutions and were not influenced by the operation.
