A course in "Media English" could mean simply a receptive skills course, in listening or reading. This article illustrates how the scope of such a course may be widened to encompass computer-based skills such as internet access, word processing and e-mail use. First the syllabus rationale and content is discussed. Then, using sample activities and student output, we show how the practical computer skills were integrated into the course.
