Structure of vitreous silica (SiO_2) and boron oxide (B_2O_3) have been obtained by X-ray Fourier analysis. After calculating the interference function, the electron radial distribution function was evaluated from which interatomic distance and coordination number were obtained. The following facts have been obtained from these results ; The vitreous silica consists of SiO_4 tetrahedral units randomly distributed, mamely each silicon atom is sorrounded by four oxygen atoms at a distance 1.63 A. On the other hand, the vitreous boron oxide consists of BO_3 triangular units, in other words, each boron atom is located at the center of a triangle of three oxygen atoms and the B-O distance is 1.40 A.
