Microwave resonance absorption in magnetite single crystal was studied at the wave-length of 3.22 cm in the temperature range from room temperature to -185℃, and many interesting discrepancies were found between our results and those obtained by Bickford. According to our observation, the double peaks were observed, from -166℃ to -140℃, for [110] direction, and further, from -121℃ to the room temperature, for [100] direction ; the double peaks always appeared in the temperature range at which the direction of the static field would correspond to the direction of difficult magnetization. The mechanism for the appearance of the double resonance peaks of high and low field strength is proposed. Moreover, it was noticeable that the absorptions were clearly observed for each crystal direction, [110] and [100], even below the transition temperature, that the resonance fields and the line shape for the two directions coincided with each other below -172° down to -185℃.
