Resistivity, Magnetization, Susceptibility and Critical Current Density of High-T_c Superconductor ErBa_2Cu_3O_<7-δ>

The ErBa_2Cu_3O_<7-δ> sample which is of a single phase of the orthorhombic YBa_2Cu_3O_<7-δ> structure has shown the value of T_c=90.0±0.7 K and the Meissner flux expulsion up to 50% at 79 K. The critical current density was 350 A/ cm^2 at zero magnetic field, while it decreased rapidly with increasing field. The magnetic susceptibility in normal state is explained by the Curie-Weiss law with the effective moment μ_<eff>=9 μ_B which is in good agreement with the one for the free ion of Er.
