The absorption spectral lines of the combination tones of the vibration-rotation transitions in NH_3 and H_2O were measured with 1.5 μm InGaAsP/InP lasers for the purpose of pollutant gas monitoring. The numbers of observed NH_3 and H_2O lines were 21 and 1, respectively. The wavelengths of these lines were measured within the inaccuracy of 1.6 pm by a precise wavemeter. For these measurements, the laser wavelength was stabilized to NH_3 and H_2O lines. The resultant stabilities were 3.0×10^<-10>・τ^<1/2> and 1.1×10^<-9>, respectively, where τ represents the integration time. The sensitivity of NH_3 gas monitoring was measured as being 2.3×10^<-3> Torr・m. Furthermore, spectral measurements obtained by using an optical fiber are also presented.
