The Dipole Moment of the B'O^+ State of IBr Determined through the Line Shape Analysis of the Stark Modulation Spectrum

The dipole moment of the B'O^+ state of IBr has been determined from the line shape analysis of the Stark modulation spectra of the B'O^+←X^1Σ^+ transition. It is -0.056±0.017 D at the υ'=11 level of IBr^<81> and -0.033±0.034 D at the υ'=15 level of IBr^<79>. The magnitude of dipole moment of the B'O^+ state is considerably smaller than that of the ground-state dipole moment (0.726 D), and its direction is opposite to that of the ground-state one.
