概要

In the early stage soon after the dormancy breaking, proliferation of mitochondria commenced in twigs of nongrowing poplar and apple trees under sub-zero temperatures. Since the profile of proliferation could be observed every year, the proliferation may be associated annually with the cytological events in the perennials in midwinter.
