The Raman line shape of the symmetric stretching vi bration of the dirnethylamrnoni urn ( DM A )group at 890 cm ' in the spectrum for a [(CH3)zNH3]5Cd3Cl)j (DIVIAPCC) crystal was ana-lyzed. The temperature dependence of this vibration mode is explained in terms of the motronalnarrowing due to the disordered NH2 group in DMA(3), which results in splitting of the DIVIA(2)line in the internal mode region. The disorder mechanism is discussed by comparing the resultswith the two relaxation times obtained from the dielectric dispersion data.
