We calculated the spin depolarization of a quantum particle on a linear chain withLarmor frequencies arranged in a Fibonacci series and compared the result with thosefor alternating and random arrangements of Larmor frequencies. Though the effectsof the thermal bath are not included in this calculation, our result implies that thespin depolarization of a quantum particle such as a muon is a useful probe for localmagnetic properties of quasicrystals.spin depolarization, Fibonacci series, quasicrystal
