We present a statistical mechanical analysis of electron-ion recombination pro-cesses in weakly ionized nonpolar dense media, being based on the model which canexplain the external electric field dependence of electron mobility in these media. Wederive a diffusion equation by a projection technique from the phase space to the coor-dinate space where the stationary distribution of electron momentum in an externalelectric field has been realized. Then we estimate the recombination rate constantfrom this equation. Here we deal with the system classically as a three-body recom-bination process.
