A Realistic Model Structure of Frank-Kasper-Type Icosahedral Quasicrystals

We have constructed a model structure of Frank-Kasper-type icosahedralquasicrystals based on the 3-D Penrose lattice which is decorated according to Henleyand Elser (Philos. Mag. B53 (1986) L59), and relaxed by interatomic potentials.Calculated (partial) pair correlation functions of the model agree well with the experimental ones in literature.quasicrystal, icosahedral phase, atomic structure, pair correlation function
