The absolute structure of CazSr(CzHsCOz)c, at room temrerature was deter-mined b>' usinx X-ra>' reflection data collected bv a four-circle automatic diffracto..meter with the 7?-factor of 0.027. The srace gIOUp of Ievorotatory crysta?s isD:-P41212 and that of dextrorotator>' ones D.?-P43212. A difference Fouriers>'nthesis revealed that electron densities of the methvl :rouns 'exhibited doublvpeaked or largely elongated contours. The split-atom calculation has establishedthat four of the methvl srour>s tonether with one of the a-carbons in a formula unitare in disordered state occupying respectively two equilibrium atomic positionswith the same probability.
