The crystal structure of Ca,Sr(C.1-I.C0.). in the ferroelectric phase was de-termined at -40'C by X-ray reflection data from a monodomain crystal. Theleast-squares calculation was converged with the 7<-factor of 0.044. Among the sixindependent propionate ions in a formula unit, four ones which are disorderedperfectly in the paraelectric phase are in partially disordered states with twoequilibrium atomic positions. Correlation between the positions of methyl groupsin the disordered propionate tons is discussed on the basis of the van der Waalsversion.
